Privacy Policy
How FindMotos collects, uses and protects your personal information.
1. Introduction
This policy explains what personal information FindMotos collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the FindMotos website and to the FindMotos mobile app for Android and iOS.
FindMotos is an online marketplace connecting private sellers and registered traders with people looking to buy vehicles. We do not sell vehicles ourselves. Our Terms of Use are published separately on our Legal page.

2. Information you give us
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address and a password
- Your first and last name
- Your mobile phone number
- A profile photo, if you choose to add one
Your password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication and is never visible to FindMotos. We receive only a confirmation that you signed in successfully.
When you publish a listing, we collect the details you enter about the vehicle — make, model, year, mileage, price, condition, colour, city and area — along with the photographs you upload and the contact phone number you want buyers to call.
3. Information collected automatically
Our servers record standard technical information when the app or website contacts them, such as the IP address the request came from, the time of the request, and which page or feature was requested. This is used to keep the service running and secure.
The FindMotos website also records anonymous usage events — for example that a search was run, that a listing was viewed, or that a contact button was tapped — so we can understand which parts of the marketplace are useful. These events are sent to our own servers, are not linked to your name or email address, and are not shared with any advertising or analytics company.
The mobile app contains no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs and no tracking pixels. We do not build advertising profiles about you, and we do not sell your information.
4. Information kept only on your device
Some things never leave your phone and are never sent to us:
- Your saved (favourite) cars
- Your chosen language and country
- Which notifications you have already read
This information is stored in the app's own storage on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it. Because it is not held on our servers, it is not transferred between devices and is not recovered if you reinstall.
5. Camera and photo permissions
The app asks for permission to use your camera and to open your photo library. These are used only when you choose to add a photo to a listing or to your profile, and only the images you select are uploaded. The app does not read or scan your photo library in the background.
You can refuse or withdraw these permissions at any time in your device settings. The rest of the app continues to work; you will not be able to add photos.
6. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and keep you signed in
- To publish the listings you create and show them to buyers
- To let buyers contact you about a vehicle you have listed
- To review listings before they go live, and to tell you the outcome
- To suggest vehicle details automatically from the photos you upload
- To respond to your support enquiries
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the platform
7. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run FindMotos, and with other users where that is the point of the service:
- Other users. Anything you put in a listing is public, including the vehicle photographs and the contact phone number you provide. Do not include information in a listing that you do not want buyers to see.
- Google (Firebase Authentication). Handles sign-in and password security. Receives your email address.
- Microsoft Azure. Hosts our servers, database and image storage, in the West Europe region. Holds your account details, listings and uploaded photographs.
- OpenAI. When you add photographs to a listing, those photographs are sent to OpenAI's image-analysis service so the app can suggest the make, model, colour and body type. Only the photographs are sent; your name, email and phone number are not.
We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
8. Where your information is stored
Your information is stored on servers in the European Union (Microsoft Azure, West Europe). Our service providers may process information in other countries. Where information leaves Egypt or the European Economic Area, we rely on the contractual protections offered by those providers.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Listings are kept while they are live and for a period afterwards so that you have a record of what you have sold.
When you delete your account, we erase your profile details and every photograph, and your listings are withdrawn from the site. A record of a withdrawn listing is retained without any personal details for up to 24 months, to resolve any dispute about a past sale and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Section 10 sets out exactly what goes and what stays.
10. Deleting your FindMotos account and your data
You can delete your FindMotos account and the data associated with it at any time. There are two ways:
- In the app. Open the Account tab, choose Settings, then Delete account. You will be asked why you are leaving, then to confirm and enter your password. Deletion happens immediately.
- By email. Write to Support@FindMotos.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. You do not need to install the app to make this request.
What is deleted. Your name, email address, telephone number, date of birth, gender, location and profile photograph are erased, along with your sign-in credentials, your saved searches and every photograph on your listings. Your listings are withdrawn from the site and can no longer be found or viewed.
What is kept, and for how long. A record of a withdrawn listing is retained without any personal details for up to 24 months, so that a dispute about a past sale can be resolved and so we can meet our legal and accounting obligations. It cannot be linked back to you. Nothing else is kept.
Deleting in the app is immediate. Requests made by email are actioned within 30 days and we confirm when it is done.
Saved cars, your language choice and read notifications are held only on your device, so deleting your account does not remove them. Uninstalling the app does.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. You can correct most of it yourself in the app, on the profile screen. For anything else, contact Support@FindMotos.com.
12. Children
FindMotos is not directed at children. You must be 18 or older to create an account or publish a listing. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted in transit. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and are not stored by us. Access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it.
No online service can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password and do not share it or any verification code with anyone. FindMotos will never ask you for your password.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear in the app or on this website.
